Mohr Elementary SCIENCE FAIR
All Mohr students are invited to work on a fun science project!
collections - observations - models - experiments - inventions
NO SIGN-UP NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE!
The student projects will be exhibited at the Mohr Science Fair on April 17!
Families are invited to join us in the Multi-Purpose Room from 6-7 p.m.!
Important Dates:
March 12 & 13: Sale of project boards in front of the school office at all student pick-up times (Noon-3 p.m.). Bring $3 in cash or check. Missed the dates? You can purchase a board from any store (Walmart should have them)
April 16, 2:50-3:20 p.m. & April 17, 8:45-9:15 a.m. : Project drop-off in MPR
April 17, 6-7 p.m.: Science Fair in Mohr MPR
Check-out the Science Fair Handbook for an explanation of the different project options (incl. collections, observations, models, experiments and inventions) and the scientific method which should be used for ALL projects!
Project Presentation:
Projects should be presented on a tri-fold project board measuring 36 & 48 inches.
PTA is selling project boards at cost ($3) on March 12 & 13, but you can also buy a board from a store.
If you still have an unused project board at home from a prior year, you can also use that :).Affix this student identification tag on both the front and back of your board.
Students may bring props for their project. Please make sure all props are labeled with the student name & class.
Other Important Information:
Projects should be done at home.
Students from various classes may work on a project together. Adults may help as needed, especially for the younger students.
The goal of this event is to stimulate an interest in science by working on a project, and demonstrate that science is fun!
All participating students will earn a certificate signed by Mrs. P., a ribbon and band, and will get to showcase their project at the fair and to classmates.
Please note that this event is NOT a competition and projects will NOT be judged.
