Reflections Arts Recognition and Achievement Program 

  

Congratulations to Mohr 4th Grader Sophia Kang for winning a California State PTA Reflections Award of Merit for her Visual Arts entry!

The Reflections program may be finished for this year, but it's not too early to start planning ahead!  Next year's Reflections theme will be: 

"Diversity Means ..."

Sounds like the perfect theme for Mohr School!

PLEASANTON STUDENTS ADVANCE TO STATE LEVEL IN PTA REFLECTIONS ARTS PROGRAM


Pleasanton, CA:  Seven Pleasanton students have had their works of art chosen to advance to the California State PTA level of judging in the Reflections Program.  Reflections is a national PTA arts enhancement program held annually.  The 2010-11 theme is "Together We Can..."  The Pleasanton PTA Council Reflections Recognition Ceremony was held December 1st at Firehouse Art Center.  The work of twenty students was chosen to represent Pleasanton and advance to next level at the Peralta PTA District, comprising all of Alameda County.   On January 8th, Peralta PTA District chose twenty four entries to advance to the state level; seven of which were from Pleasanton!

Esther Forest, 3rd GR, Walnut Grove Elementary, Intermediate Division

 

Should any of these students be named award winners by the State PTA and advance to the National level, their work will be presented at the California State PTA Convention to be held in Long Beach, California, April 28- May 1, 2011.

Congratulations for Advancing to State! 2007-08 Award of Merit

           


The Intermediate Literature Entry by Sandhya Kalavacherla has been awarded the California State PTA Award of Merit and will be on display at the California State PTA Convention at the Long Beach Convention Center in May.The 2007-08 theme was "I Can Make a Difference By ..."

Congratulations to our 2007-08 Pleasanton Winners!

The Pleasanton PTA Council held its 5th annual Reflections Arts Recognition Program on Tuesday, December 4, at Harvest Park Middle School.

 

A total of 57 entries were submitted to the Pleasanton PTA Council for recognition and were presented with certificates at the December 4 recognition program. Of these, 17 students advanced to the next level, Peralta District PTA:

Congratulations to our 2006-07 National Reflections Champ!!

One of our very own Mohr students has received the Award of Excellence at the State level in the 2006-2007 PTA Reflections Arts contest! 

 

Second Grade student Vincent Tantra was invited to attend the California State PTA Convention in Sacramento on Sunday, May 6th to be honored for his entry in the Film/Video category entitled, "My Favorite Place Is Home."

 

At the convention, it was announced that Vincent has just been awarded the National PTA Reflections Award of Excellence!  Way to go! 

 

Mohr PTA President Mia Kodama and Vice President of Membership Laura Ashizawa represented Mohr at the awards ceremony.
