PTA Funds Spent 2008-2009 School Year

  • Classroom Support: $23,600 *that’s money for every teacher & specialist at Mohr

  • Technology: $20,000 *those funds are paying for new computers and equipment in the lab and classrooms

  • Science Lab: $4700 *PTA helped pay for supplies and heat/chemical resistant tables for our Science Lab

  • Library: $2000 *This amount is in addition to the money made by the book fairs

  • Assemblies: $3,500 *yep, PTA pays for all of the assemblies your child attended this year

  • Eagle Express Newsletter: $2,500 *(Were going to electronic delivery next year! Be sure to sign up!)

  • Pizza with the Principal (Incentive program encouraging good character): $1,500

  • Scholarships: $2,000 *PTA makes scholarships available to families in need

  • Student Directory: $500 *PTA Members receive this directory for free upon it’s completion

  • Emergency Preparedness: $500

  • Field Day: $500 *PTA pays for & organizes this student-loved end of the year celebration

  • Red Ribbon Week: $300 *PTA pays for & organizes this week of drug awareness

  • Reflections: $300 *PTA supports art appreciation in our schools with this national program

  • 80 Mile-Club: $200 *PTA funds this program that promotes physical fitness

  • Geography Challenge: $200 *PTA pays for the supplies for this educational program

  • Other Programs: $1,100 *this includes Art Show, FAME, School Health & Wellness, Website, etc.

  This brings the PTA total funds spent on programs and services this year to $63,400! WOW!

 

 

Thinking ahead to 2009-10, where would Mohr be without all the above funding? Mohr is an excellent school, with a fantastic staff of dedicated teachers, administrators, and support personnel.  But they cannot do it alone. 

 

Please make a family donation of $100 to the More for Mohr Program when you go through registration in the fall.  How wonderful will it be for our students and teachers if we have all of the funds in place to continue the education enhancing programs and services that our students have come to depend on?   

 

Remember: Your family’s $100 donation to PTA is completely tax-deductible and if every family participates, we will have the funds in place to pay for the programs and services listed above without any additional fundraising.
